Purpose

Method

First you'll want to whip up a rich lather using shaving cream or soap, and apply it with a shaving brush. Then, holding the blade at a 30 degree angle from your face, make small passes across your jawline - applying more lather before another pass. Once the blade starts to tug or cause discomfort, you will need to hone it using a strop. Always do this before a shave, not after, when the blade is at it's most delicate.
