Marvis has long been known for its range of premium tooth-care products in the form of its popular toothpastes and brushes. The brand originally hailed from Florence, Italy, where it was founded by Earl Franco Cella di Rivaradates in 1958, only to be bought by Ludovico Martelli, Srl, in 1997 after decades of languishing in obscurity.
Marvis toothpaste comes in a number of varieties, all starting with a minty base and then added to with flavours such as jasmine, ginger and cinnamon. Ingredients are few but of a high quality, with both acid-neutralising and tooth-whitening agents. There are also related products in the form of the Marvis toothbrush and mouthwash. The mouthwash boasts a alcohol- and sugar-free formula, whereas the toothbrush is a minimalist, portable tool with a focus on design in keeping with the company's aesthetic.
